Yahboom Omibox Robot Kit Tutorial 3.Introduction of Arduino IDE programming

Installation instructions of Arduino IDE is shown in the following picture:

Note: The following are the Windows user installation steps, Mac OS X users need to download the installation package to install. 

The official website address :http://www.arduino.org.cn/software

1.You need to open setup package to find arduino-1.7.8.org-windows.exe.

2.You need to double click to open the installation package arduino-1.7.8.org-windows.exe.

3.You need to click I Agree, as shown in the following picture.

4. You need to click Next, as shown in the following picture.

5.You need to choose an installation path, as shown in the following picture.(just an example)

6. You need to wait for the progress bar to complete. The operation is as shown below.

7.You need to click bottom right corner, as shown in the following picture.

8.You need to click bottom right corner, as shown in the following picture.

After the steps above, the Arduino IDE is installed successfully.

Use instructions of Arduino IDE is shown in the following picture:

!!!Note:If you need to upload the code, you need to remove the Bluetooth module or turn the Download switch to ON, which next to the Bluetooth module.

1.You need to double-click to open the Arduino software that is installed on the desktopimage.png.

2.You need to connect the Arduino UNO board to the computer with the data cable.

And select “Port” in the device manager of your computer, marked with CH340 portFor example:USB-SERIAL CH340(COM6), as shown in the following picture.

3.You need to select 【Tool】--【Board】--【Arduino Uno】 in the Arduino IDE menu bar, as shown in the following picture.

4.In the menu bar of Arduino IDE, you can select the 【Tools】---【Port】--- select the port that the serial number displayed by the device manager just now. for example:COM6.

5. You can write codes in the blank area or directly open the file in .ino format, as shown in the following picture.

6.After the codes is written, you need to click“” in the menu bar to compile the program, and wait for the word "Done compiling " in the lower right corner, as shown in the figure below.

7.You can click “image.png”under the menu bar to upload the program to the Arduino UNO board. When the word “Done uploading” appears in the lower left corner, the program has been successfully uploaded to the Arduino UNO board, as shown in the figure below.

After these steps, the program is uploaded to the Arduino UNO board successfully.

If you use the Arduino IDE provided by us and open it in Chinese, you need to follow the following steps to switch to English.

1.After opening the Arduino IDE, you need to click【文件】--【首选项】 in the Arduino IDE menu bar, as shown in the following figure.

2.You need to click the editor language in the interface and select English(英语) and click “好”in the lower right corner, as shown in the following figure. You need to turn off the Arduino IDE and open it again.

3.When you open it again and you'll find it in English, as shown in the following figure.
